It is my greatest pleasure to share my experience working with Dhruv Shah during the 36th Guelph & District Multicultural Festival. As Host for the event, I had the opportunity to work directly with Dhruv as he was an exemplary first time Stage Manager. The execution of such an event requires teamwork, organization, and respectful enthusiasm to collaborate as a collective to implement a successful and memorable community event. His role required him to be flexible, yet sensitive to schedule changes if needed and encouragement for an inter-generational diverse lineup of talents over a 3day period. Dhruv welcomed the community with open arms and a heartfelt desire to ensure all participants experienced something special. He is a citizen who deeply cares and wishes to make an impact in all his collaborations.
It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Dhruv on our Weekly Sunday Meal Table initiative in downtown Guelph. Over the past year, I have come to know Dhruv and his wife Kuntal and their family as they have all volunteered their time in support of our initiative. It is quite apparent how committed Dhruv is to understanding the Guelph community and the specific needs of our community members. This is demonstrated by his dedication to our program and also by his involvement in several other initiatives targeting poverty and homelessness throughout the City of Guelph. Dhruv not only wants to help with hands on involvement, but more importantly to listen and understand the issues impacting our community and to find ways to make positive change.
I am happy to endorse Dhruv Shah as an active member of our Guelph community poverty relief efforts.
Dhruv is in touch with all sectors of the Guelph community and as such is well positioned to represent them well in city council. He will care for his constitutes and will be a very strong voice for them.
